Oresteia (1982). *Monday Theatre*. An ancient tragedy/trilogy by Aeschylus (458 BC), featuring Periklis Karakonstantoglou, Maya Lyberopoulou, Giorgos Lazanis, Antonis Theodorakopoulos, Katia Gerou, Giannis Karatzogiannis, Mimis Kougioumtzis, Charis Sozos, and Reni Pittaki. The fate of the House of Mycenae following Agamemnon's return is the thread connecting all three parts. The beacon signal from Mount Arachnaion conveys the news of Troy's fall, and Clytemnestra prepares for the return of the king—her husband. The citizens of Argos, too, are filled with apprehension. Agamemnon returns triumphant, bringing Cassandra with him as a prize. Clytemnestra’s plan is set in motion, and before long, both Agamemnon and Cassandra lie dead. The queen exults in her triumph. Yet, for her and Aegisthus, the end is drawing near; her and Agamemnon’s children, Electra and Orestes, are plotting to punish their father’s killers.
