Does love exist or not? Are human relationships real or not? Ten different people, ten love affairs without emotion, ten multidimensional figures, typical types of Viennese society at the end of the nineteenth century. They will meet, sometimes by chance, sometimes by plan, to discover the hidden secrets of love, which although it seems to be constantly present is ultimately the great absentee. The heroes of the play try to free themselves from their social roles, in which they feel trapped, a fact that has cost them true contact with each other.
