The Light of the Gas (1981). In 19th-century London, Bella Bunningham lives with her husband Jack. This woman is faced with a nightmare as she realizes with horror that she forgets events, hides various things in the house, and is gradually driven to madness. All this is not helped at all by the abrupt behavior of her husband and the strange attitude of one of the two maids in the house, who shows a strange antipathy towards her mistress. The heroine's psychological collapse is inevitable.
