A. CHANNELS FROM LONDON


HELLENIC TV1

 

This is the original Hellenic TV channel, which started broadcasting on 9 December 2012 on Cable London, as a cable only channel. Initially it was broadcasting for only 3 hours per day, from 8.00pm to 11.00pm. In 1993 it extended its broadcasting hours to five with co-operation with the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation. Soon after in cooperation with ERT the National Greek TV Channel, it extended its hours to 24 per day.


Today Hellenic TV1 offers a unique five hour program not available anywhere in the world, from 19:15 after the end of the news from RIK Sat, until about midnight.

 

The Hellenic TV1 unique program consists of Hellenic’s own productions, serials from Greece and Cyprus and one or two films every night.

WNN (Web News Network)

 

This channel is the Greek equivalent to CNN with news in Greek round the clock, in co-operation with a number of TV networks.

 

(Note: Currently this channel, for technical reasons rebroadcasts HELLENIC TV1, but will return to its own programs soon).

HTV Music

 

This channel is dedicated to Music and in particular to the Musical talents of our community in London. It broadcasts 24 hours per day in co-operation with MAD Channel from Greece.

B. CHANNELS FROM GREECE

ERT WORLD

 

This channel is state owned by Greece and broadcasts various productions from the two Greek domestic channels ET1 and NET. The daily program consists of News, Sports, Greek serials, Documentaries etc.

HELLENIC VOULI

 

This is the channel of the Greek Parliament. It broadcasts its debates live and when the House is not sitting, it broadcasts History program, Greek cultural programs as well as BBC documentaries and National Geographic, suitably adapted in Greek.

This is the Greek Orthodoxy Channel. It broadcasts mainly religious programs, history programs, Greek cultural programs, as well as various cultural Greek programs with Greek traditional dances and Greek folk songs.

RIK Sat

 

This is the state controlled channel of the Republic of Cyprus. It broadcasts every day News from Greece, Cyprus and World Wide. It also broadcasts Sport, Serials in Cypriot dialect, documentaries, political debates etc.

A privately owned Greek Cypriot TV channel broadcasting News from Cyprus, Greece and World Wide. The channel produces its own serials both in Greek and Cyprus dialect. It also broadcasts documentaries and political debates. It is one of the most popular Cyprus Channels, which is available ONLY ON HELLENIC TV PLATFORM outside Cyprus.

The HELLENIC TV PLATFORM offers a wide variety of Greek Language channels from Greece from Cyprus and from London. It covers almost all the Greek TV market can offer. There are 13 channels and seven of these are available outside Greece and Cyprus only on the HELLENIC TV Platform. In particular HELLENIC TV1, only available on the HELLENIC TV platform, offers 12 Greek films every week and five serials.
